Terms of Service
Effective: Thursday, October 29, 2026
1. Who we are
GlassRef is a service of PHM Enterprises LLC, a Florida company in the United States (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@glassref.com. By using GlassRef you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. What GlassRef is
GlassRef is software for the glass, window and door industry: a reference library of architectural glass built on published manufacturer data, tools to find equivalents and compare products, a calculator for glass makeups, and documents such as spec sheets and submittals. It runs on the web and in apps for iPhone and iPad.
3. Reference data and calculations
- Product data comes from manufacturers’ submissions to the International Glazing Database (IGDB) and other sources named next to each value. GlassRef is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) or any manufacturer.
- Calculated values come from a calculation engine working on that data. They are for comparison and planning. They are not a certified rating, and they do not replace the manufacturer’s current data, an NFRC or other official rating, or the judgment of a qualified professional.
- Check the figures that matter with the manufacturer before you specify, order, or certify a product. You are responsible for the decisions you make with GlassRef.
- Where GlassRef uses AI (for example to help draft product-line summaries, which we review before they appear), it never produces a performance number. Numbers come only from data and the calculation engine.
4. Accounts and companies
- GlassRef is for professional use. You must be at least 18 to create an account.
- Keep your sign-in details private; you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think it has been compromised.
- Accounts belong to a company. A company’s admins invite and remove users and manage its plan, and users in a company see and work with its shared work.
5. Your work
- You and your company own what you put in: your makeups, spec sheets, submittals, projects, saved scans, forum posts, logos and notes. We claim no ownership of them.
- You give us only the permission we need to run GlassRef for you: to store your work, show it to your company and to the people you share it with, and produce the documents you ask for.
- You are responsible for having the right to use what you upload, including logos and manufacturer documents.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use GlassRef to break the law; to get into anyone else’s account or company; to upload malware or attack, overload or probe the service; to misrepresent a product’s performance; or to scrape, copy in bulk, resell or redistribute the service or its reference library. We may suspend or close an account that does these things.
7. Plans, payment, cancelling and refunds
- GlassRef has a free plan. Paid plans are priced per company, not per user, and are shown in US dollars in the app and on this website.
- Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until cancelled.
- Bought on the web: payment is processed by Stripe and billed by PHM Software, a registered Florida trade name of PHM Enterprises LLC, under the billing terms at phmsoftware.com/terms. Your card statement shows PHM SOFTWARE, GLASSREF BASIC or GLASSREF PRO.
- Bought in the iPhone or iPad app: the purchase is made with Apple and is governed by Apple’s terms. Apple handles billing, cancelling and refunds for it in your Apple account settings.
- Cancel a web plan at any time. It stays active to the end of the period you paid for and then does not renew. We do not refund partial periods.
- If you were charged by mistake, email support@glassref.com within 60 days of the charge and we will refund it.
- If we change a price, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
8. Our software
GlassRef itself (the software, design, brand and the way the reference library is organized) belongs to PHM Enterprises LLC. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it under these Terms. Do not copy, reverse engineer or resell it. Manufacturer names and product names belong to their owners.
9. No warranty
We work hard to keep GlassRef accurate and available, but it is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, including that the reference data is complete, current or error-free. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about GlassRef is limited to the greater of (a) what your company paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US$100, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including losses from a product chosen, specified or ordered using GlassRef. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. If we have a dispute
Talk to us first: email support@glassref.com and give us 30 days to put it right. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Pinellas County, Florida. This does not take away the protection of any mandatory consumer law where you live.
12. Ending
You can stop using GlassRef and ask us to delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may end or suspend accounts that break these Terms. Sections 3, 5, 8, 9, 10 and 11 continue after an account ends.
13. Changes and language
If we change these Terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect, and update the date above. A change never applies to the past. If these Terms are shown in another language, the English version governs.
